About

In Café Storybook, a team of clumsy staff races to fulfill orders. With limited time, mix-up steps, and unexpected disasters, only perfect teamwork can turn messy into sweet success. Setup 1.Each player receives a set of Action Cards. 2.Shuffle Order Cards and Ingredient Cards and place them in their respective areas. 3.Reveal (number of players − 1) Order Cards in the Order Area. 4.Place the Round Token on space 1 of the round track. 5.Put 1 Cake Base in Kitchen Area and 1 Cream in Decoration Area. How to play At the start of each round, team may discuss strategy without assigning specific action to anyone. Then all players choose one Action Card and place it face down, reveal their cards at the same time. Actions are resolved in the following order: Take → Prepare → Decorate → Serve Each area resolves its effects separately. Area Capacity Rules Ingredients Area If all Ingredient Cards are used up, shuffle the discarded ingredients and return them to the Ingredient deck. Kitchen Area Up to 3 ingredients. After the Prepare action has been resolved, any unused ingredients in Kitchen Area will be discarded. Decoration Area Up to 2 semi-finished or finished products. After the Decorate action has been resolved, any unused ingredients in Decoration Area will be discarded. Order Area The Order Area can show up to (number of players − 1) Order Cards. Discard Rules •Ingredients exceeding area capacity will be discarded. •If there are unfinished cakes in the Decoration Area and a player plays Serve, the order is considered incorrectly served and is discarded. (for example: Cake Base + Fruit is not an order) •If a combination appears in the Decoration Area that does not match any valid recipe (for example: Cake Base + Cake Base), it is immediately discarded. End of Round After all actions are resolved: 1.Check completed orders. 2.For each completed order, reveal one new Order Card. 3.Move the Round Token forward. (From Round 4, even-numbered round, reveal one Event Card.) End of Game The game ends after 15 rounds. Count the number of completed orders to determine the team’s final score according to each order.
