About

[from the front cover of the original Playboy game insert] By Gilbert Shelton "FEDS 'N Heads" the game of pot luck -- wherein one tries to keep on the grass while avoiding the attendant pitfalls of rip-offs, bummers, burns and busts. Feds 'n' Heads is a basic roll and move game based on the designer's own famous comic strip, "The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers". The game bears more than a passing resemblance to Monopoly (collect money for passing go, roll a double to get out of jail or pay $50, etc.) but the board is more sprawling and includes several junctions and special squares. Roll dice and move around the board trying to collect a kilo (35 lids) of grass by landing on specific locations and buying as much as they can afford. When players pass the Home square, $50 is collected from the banker and grass can be stashed at home, protecting the grass from being taken from you by any means. Red squares require you to draw a Burns, Busts, Bummers & Rip-Offs card, while green squares require you to draw a Weird Trips card. Players can also wind up in Jail (roll a double, pay $50 or 5 lid to get out) or at the free clinic (pay $15... Hey, it says FREE clinic!) The winner is the player who, moving his token the number shown on the dice, manages to score 35 ounces and get back Home with it. Originally published as a fold-out board in Playboy Magazine.
