This game was the subject of a copyright and trademark infringement suit by Hasbro against David Chang, the game's creator, who was permanently enjoined from "manufacturing, reproducing, distribuitng, advertising, selling, or displaying the GHETTOPOLY game" and ordered to pay Hasbro $400,000.00 in damages, plus costs. Opolygames claims to have purchased the rights to this game, and is therefore acting in concert with the creator and is also subject to the injunction."
