About

Kettō is a quick-fire card game of snap decisions, hand management and pushing advantage. Master the way of the warrior and strike when your enemy least expects. Keep your calm, focus your blade and claim victory. Two players face off, drawing from a shared deck and using their cards to engage in battle. Winning a clash requires preparation, observation, and an understanding of your opponent’s rhythm. A clash may be swift and brutal or prolonged and elegant, with outcomes that vary depending on the cards played. The aim of the game is to reduce your opponent’s life cards to zero. Offensive cards such as Slash, Thrust, and Strike drive relentless attacks and help secure victory. Defensive play is equally important and cards like Feint, Parry, and Retreat allow you to rebuild your defences and prepare a counterattack. At its best, Kettō is a deadly dance, with both players acting in harmony. Though in the end, only one can emerge victorious, and the outcome depends entirely on your mastery of the cards. —description from the publiser
