About

Managerz From Hell: Let’s Rock is a competitive card game for 2–5 players that plays in about 30 minutes, putting you in the shoes of an aspiring rock band manager. It pays tribute through parody to real rock bands, musicians, and known rock situations, letting you assemble tongue-in-cheek lineups like AB/CD with Federico Mercurio on vocals, Splash on guitars, The Bug on bass, and The Beast Bunham on drums. Players draw from two shared decks: a Band deck and a Backstage deck (musicians and effect cards). Collect the required musician roles to form bands; bigger bands score more, and bonus cards can act as flexible substitutes when completing a band. The first player to reach 15 points wins. On your turn you draw, may negotiate a one-to-one trade, play an effect as your action, and try to form a band. Effects come in three types: common effects (played as your action), bonus cards (used to help form bands), and free effects that can be played outside your turn to disrupt opponents. Effects include stealing cards or musicians, forcing discards, revealing hands, drawing extra cards, recovering from discard, cancelling effects, disrupting trades, and hindering band formation. Smart trades, tight hand management, and well-timed free effects can swing the race to 15 points in a single turn, turning every gig into a tactical battle for the best lineup. —description from the designer
