About

Ready Steady Slope is a competitive card game themed around skiing and snowboarding, where players build and complete their own mountain while navigating changing weather, difficult runs, equipment choices, and interference from rival players. Inspired by the atmosphere and unpredictability of real mountain resorts, the game combines strategy, timing, and a little chaos. Players take turns drawing, playing, and managing cards representing ski runs, equipment, resorts, weather conditions, and special actions. Completing runs and building a mountain layout are key to progressing, but opponents can disrupt plans with hazards, changing conditions, and tactical plays. Different combinations of cards create opportunities for both long-term strategy and short-term opportunism. Success depends on balancing risk and reward. Players must decide when to push for difficult runs, when to improve their equipment, and when to interfere with competitors. Careful hand management and timing are essential, as conditions on the mountain can change rapidly. The winner is the first player to successfully complete their mountain to achieve victory before any other players. -description from designer
