In Switch and Signal, you take the role of engineers, signalmen, switchmen, and yardmasters working together to load trains with cargo, navigate a congested railway network, and deliver cargo to the port city of Savannah, Georgia. Switches and signals are used to guide trains along routes. For every train that reaches the port, you gain victory points. You win the game by gaining at least 40 victory points, and 60 victory points is a perfect game.
