About

The Upside Down Kingdom is a cooperative, family-friendly game that blends the simplicity of Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders with more strategic mechanics like card matching, milestone jumping, and light deck management. Players advance by rolling the die and moving their pawn along a spiral pathway. The space that they land on determines their action. They draw cards, from different decks to make color-based matches that allow them to flip tiles and leap forward on the board. They face the risk of setbacks triggered by specific board spaces. Landing on cloud spaces advances the white horse pawn along the clouds at the top of the board. Players must race to make it to the Ends of the Earth before the white horse pawn reaches the last cloud space. A shared draft row adds a layer of decision-making, allowing players to choose between a face-down draw or selecting from a pool of face-up Attribute cards. Each player also takes on a unique character role with a one-time special ability, encouraging teamwork and strategic planning throughout the journey.
