Otumba 1520 After Moctezuma is deposed, Cortes abandons Tenochtitlán and is pursed by Aztec forces to the plain of Otumba. San Quentín 1557 French forces advance into Picardy to raise the Spanish siege, but are ambushed crossing the River Somme before they can enter the town. Tunis 1535 Charles V assembles an expeditionary force to recover Tunis from the Ottoman corsair Barbarossa and restore their client Sultan Hassan.
