About this game

Cosmic Run: Mission One is a solo space racing game that is included within Dr. Finn's Solo Strategy and Word Games Book (vol. 1). The game consists of a single sheet and requires 4 dice and a pencil to play. Although it is a solitaire game, multiple players can play at the same time to see who gets the best score. In the game, you are racing your ships toward 4 planets to see if you can get to each planet before ships from an alien race. As in Dr. Finn's Cosmic Run, you roll dice and place them on planets or use them to recruit allies (who can give you special powers to manipulate the dice). On a turn, you roll 4 dice and place 1 or more of them on allies or planets. Any remaining dice must be rolled and again, you must place 1 or more dice on allies or planets. Continue in this manner until all 4 dice are placed. The dice are resolved and you may move ships and/or gain ally powers. if you reach a planet, you score victory points for that planet. On the alien's turn, you roll 1 die and move an alien ship based on the die roll. If any alien reaches a planet before you, you lose points based on how far you are from the planet. The game ends when all planets are reached. You are trying to score the most points. —description from the publisher
