Show of Force (SOF) is a war themed competitive card game for players of all experience levels. SOF mixes the fun-for-everyone aspect of a party game, with the strategic gameplay of a trading card game. To win you must kill your opponents by bring their Health Points to zero. This is done with the uses of 5 card types: Attack cards to do damage; Benefit cards to gain Health points; Utility cards to gain an edge; and Instant cards to be played any time for combos and defensives. Event cards are the 5th type and are randomly chosen and scattered throughout the main deck. When drawn they can be good or bad for players. Strategy is very important because you can only play 1 card per turn, but at any moment an Event card can still ruin you plans. Gameplay types include free-for-all and team play, giving plenty of variety to a 88 card game. —description from the designer
