The two players are the coaches of the two ice-hockey teams. The players are cards on the rink and each player has his special strengths. Each coach makes one action a turn by playing an action card from his hand trying to score a goal or get the puck from the opponent. More cards can be bought as booster packs, so this is basically a CCG, but the starter set has enough cards for two players to play the game.
